Bicicleta Sem Freio hit the road again with the curation and production group Justkids, and traveled to Coldwater, Michigan to create two immersive indoor murals for the latest go-to spot for wonder, color and cannabis: Sapura. BSF delivered two pieces that accurately represented the relationship of oneness, playfulness and harmony of psychoactive plants, people, animals and other elements of Earth.
Capturing some high frequency vibes, “Life Is But A Dream” located in the interior of the dispensary, creates a perfect balance by highlighting the feelings that each cannabinoid provides.
To the left, bright colors and warm tones catch the uplifting and energetic properties of the Sativa strains, like improved mental clarity and focus, boosts of energy, boosts of creativity, increased chattiness, and more. Although surrounded by a dream-like environment with trippy plants and wildlife (the yellow frog with the top hat is our favorite), the woman is very much awake and alert, with an inviting hand and gaze. She welcomes you into a space of positive energy, where individuals have a deep connection with the natural world, and the effects that entheogenic plants have on human consciousness is cherished and celebrated.
When you shift your eyes to the right side, a transition to a cooler color palette becomes evident, making you feel serene and refreshed. This part of the mural acknowledges the alleviation properties of the Indica strain, which promotes muscle and mental relaxation, improves appetite, increases dopamine and is an excellent sleep aid. Here, an anthropomorphic tiger helps you to unwind with rhythmic drum sounds, all the while a surreal horned elephant watches over your dreams as you drift peacefully into a state of decompression or night time’s rest.
The mural “The Portal”, on the other hand, welcomes you into the lobby as soon as you enter the store, capturing the act of sharing wellness among friends, which is at the forefront of the cannabis culture, and the Sapura brand.
